The CGFigures Asset Library
The CGFigures Asset Library is a collection of nearly every model, shader, and tool that I have created or released since 2020. Everything that is contained within, that I made, has been assigned a CC-0 public domain license and you are free to use it for whatever purpose you would like commercial or otherwise. For best results I recommend using Blender version 3.5+
If you would like to access the library for free to try it out for testing purposes please visit https://www.cgfigures.ca/assetlibrary. Note that there is no expiry on the free version and you are welcome to use it indefinitely without paying. The cost options here are for those who would like to make a one-time contribution to the project.
For an accompanying walkthrough of the library as of its release please see the video linked on the CGFigures YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/4TC1WjKiMwQ?si=yuPsUdP2gTx_2ACC
This library will be semi-regularly updated to include new models/shaders/tools and going forward will be the only file I release/re-release.
Update 1:
- Semi-procedural, real world scale models for needles and syringes
- New controls for nearly all glassware assets (except condensers) to add simple, customizable 'liquids'
- Real world scale spatulae and scoopula in both metal and plastic with adjustable 'grunge'
- Real world scale, customizable push pins (the first of more office supplies)
- New random offset tools for papers to pages
Update 2:
- Nodes for super and subscript text, metric to imperial fraction converions
- Basic modular lab components including benchtops, cabinets, drawers
- Simple figure elements (Square grids for wireless antennas)
- Simple lab components and tools (stool, screen printer, modular tubing with presets)
- Atomic nodes (geonodes system for working with Atomic Blender and Geometry Nodes)
- Various quick tool nodes
If you do use this library in published work please consider providing attribution to Dr. Joseph G. Manion. If you find these assets useful please refer others to them so that they can benefit similarly. Thank you very much.
If you make or publish something and would like to share it on the testimonials page of cgfigures.ca please reach out to me directly via gmail (cgfigures@gmail.com)
